BLUMAT EASY FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why do I need to pierce a hole in the bottle?

Without a hole, a vacuum forms inside the bottle, and Blumat Easy will stop or slow down water delivery.

How big should the hole be?

A tiny hole is enough—just use a pin. When refilling, you can cover it with your finge

How long will it water my plants?

That depends on the bottle size:
• With a 2-liter bottle, Blumat Easy lasts up to 10 days.
• With Blumat Easy XL, up to 7 days.

Why can’t I use bottles larger than 2 liters?

Bigger bottles can tip over, and their wider openings usually don’t fit Blumat Easy.

Why does mine give more water than expected?

If the soil is very dry or the plant is especially thirsty, the roots pull more water from the clay cone.

Why does it give less water over time?

The micropores may be clogged or algae has built up inside.

How do I clean Blumat Easy?

Once a year:
1. Soak in warm water for 5 minutes.
2. Clean inside with a small brush.
3. Sand the outside of the clay cone lightly.

Can I use a glass bottle?

No. Blumat Easy is designed for plastic bottles only.

Is it safe for watering vegetables, fruit, and herbs?

Yes. All Blumat Easy products are tested to Austrian drinking water standards and are free of BPA, PFAS, and phthalates.

Are they suitable for drinking water?

No. While tested to safety standards, they’re not certified for carrying drinking water—only for plant use.
