BE CAREFUL to NOT immerse the unscrewed measuring head in water!

1. Unscrew the measuring head.
2. Soak the plastic tube with ceramic tip in water for at least 15 minutes.
3. Fill the plastic tube completely with tap water.
4. Screw the measuring head back on tightly.
5. Insert into the soil:

• For potted plants: place 2-3 inches from the edge of the pot, about 6-7 inches deep into the outer root area.
• For newly repotted plants: insert the cone directly into the soft soil, always turning clockwise, then press the soil down gently.
• For dense roots or hard soil: first make a hole in the root area, half-fill with loose soil and water, then insert the Blumat Digital while turning clockwise. Refill the hole with soil and press down firmly.

TIP: The Blumat corer is designed to match the shape of the Blumat Digital for easier insertion.

WAIT 2 TO 3 HOURS BEFORE TAKING A MEASUREMENT

MEASUREMENT: Briefly tap the button - the measurement will be displayed for 10 seconds in mbar.
